Movie from my childhood 70s/80s most likely- Solved

I don't have a lot to go on, but here goes;

-opening credits, night time on a city with sky scrapers
-main character drives out of the city to a house for dinner perhaps?
-main portion of the movie is at the eccentric guys house, theres a dinner party and the guy can't get away
-he goes down a slide that in the house
