Will donald refuse to concede if he loses the election? What could he do to fight it? Would he?

It's seriously about time to start talking about this. The election could go either way and things aren't looking to be in the bag at all for donald.

Having said that, IF he loses the election, what would happen if he refused to concede? What could he realistically do to fight against it?

A lot of people are worried that he'll refuse to concede and try to get this matter tied up in courts and then stall it forever like what he's currently doing with his taxes, pushing his term past 2020 in the process.

This has been historically untested. Could he do it? We all know he'll NEVER go quietly or easily. It's in his nature to make a big fcking drama out of the whole thing. So, how realistic is it that he could make this like his tax returns and stall this up in legal limbo, cheating his way into 2021 and beyond?

You act like the 2000 election never happened.

"Will donald refuse to concede if he loses the election?"

We'll never know. 😉

Does any poster of actual worth have an answer/idea?

I am starting to wonder, too.

He hasn't obeyed any other rules.

reply

Precisely. This guy is a wildcard and I'm honestly curious just how far he could push this. If nothing else, we know Donald will try. Given how he has the AG and several judges in his back pocket, I'm honestly wondering what he could possibly do.

If he's not out by 12:01 pm on January 20, 2021, President Biden can have him arrested for trespassing. He's an ordinary citizen by then - same rules apply.

With any other president I would readily agree that this would be the likely outcome but this is Trump and we know how he is. He will try to contest the votes. How far can he take that? Can he take it to court? Some have been saying he can. With all the behavior of Barr and other Cheeto-elected judges, this prospect frightens me.

What if he refuses to concede?? If he is voted out of office that's the end of t-Rump in the White House.

I'm guessing you consider yourself a poster of actual worth.

Let's see... I'm guessing if Trump loses, he will have a concession speech prepared, unlike Hillary.

Do you realize that with a name like "D team" you're a walking joke?

I'm not trolling the board, so yes--I do.

Trolls have no worth on any board.

And seriously--what's with the mention of Hillary? She has nothing at all WHATSOEVER to do with this discussion. Every single Trumper online mentions Hillary as a response to anything negative about Trump. It's ridiculous. I didn't even vote for the witch.

As for my username--I carried this username back on IMDB since 2005 and here I am today--same username. If I gave even one tenth of a sh!t what you or anyone else thought about my username I could have and would have changed it 14 years ago. :)

Well, I mentioned Hillary because the first thing I thought in response to your question was, "I suppose he will give his concession speech". Then, I thought, "Wasn't there someone who didn't have a concession speech prepared?"

That, and because any mention of Trump, my mind goes right to Hillary because he's all her fault. Not only because she cheated the more popular candidate in the primary, but also her cronies pushed Trump as the nominee with a "pied piper" strategy that gave him billions in free coverage, while Ed Schultz got fired just for covering Bernie's candidacy.
