Story
Officers were attempting to serve a warrant Monday to 39-year-old Terry Clark Hughes, Jr., for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon at a home near the 5000 block of Galway Drive.

Hughes fired at officers from the upstairs of the home in both the front and the back.

Hughes was wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon and felony flee to elude (two counts) out of Lincoln County, North Carolina. Hughes was shot down in the front yard of the home, where he died.

I believe in second chances and then some but not pages of criminal history. I think 5 misdemeanors and 3 felonies should be the max then life in jail. Once you get into the double digits then it just gets ridiculous.
