Cat's 'playing'

Sometimes when I walk by my cat I'll stop to give him a quick pet; as I walk
away he'll grab me quickly by the ankle with both front paws. Is he just being
playful, or is he seriously trying to take me down like a lion going for an
antelope in the wild?

I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

I always wondered if cats are really playing to have fun or if theyre being serious and are trying to hone their hunting skills.

He's planning your demise and has already fraudulently altered your will in his favor.

"Is he just being playful, or is he seriously trying to take me down like a lion going for an antelope in the wild?"Next time it happens, carefully fall to the ground as though he was able to tackle you. If he goes for your face (or other soft parts), you'll have your answer!---On IMDb, nobody knows you're a (I said nobody knows!).

Actually I saw a documentary once that showed a man who had spent a good amount of time with a pack of tigers in the wild. The tigers would actually play fight with him and they'd literally pounce him but once he was down on the ground they'd just give him a lick on the face and then they'd let him back up. I imagine house cats are no different. But who knows?
