How to Watch DVDs on PC at 2X Speed with Leawo Software?

Hi:

I watch DVDs on my desktop PC.

Until recently I watched them on a standard DVD ROM using Power DVD software.

I now have a new PC with a Sony Blu-Ray Player installed in the ROM.

My Dad tried several DVDs systems on the PC and the only one he could get to play DVDs on the PC is Leawo.

Is there any way to watch DVDs using Leawo on 2x double speed WITH sound? I could do this easily with Power DVD.

I really enjoy re-watching DVDs on 2x speed as it saves time.

1000 thanks in advance for any help!!

For video, I personally use Media Player Classic - Home Cinema

You can play video files, DVDs, Blu-ray etc at x2 speed with audio. No problem whatsoever.

I'm not sure of your setup, or why you've had difficulties so far, but I'm assuming you're using Windows as an operating system. I also have zero experience or knowledge of Leawo so I can't really assist there. However, MPC-HC as I mentioned is good, as well as VLC which supports Mac and Linux operating systems as well as Windows.

There are plenty other reputable media players out there with the feature you are looking for. Here are just two good free ones which I've personally used for many years - VLC the longest, in fact. Hope this helps.

I appreciate your time & help so much.

I'm going to definitely get on this & see if my PC/system can handle MPC-HC.

1000 thanks for your time!

You're more than welcome, rainstorm. If you have any further issues, feel free to post back.

MPC-HC should run on your PC, as it's described on their website as "extremely light-weight" (in terms of system resources when being used) so you shouldn't encounter any incompatibilities provided you are using at least Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Saves time? Too bad you can't do the same thing with everyday life.
