Getting data from hard drive in broken laptop

Does anyone know how to get the data from a hard drive that's been removed? The computer is broken but I've removed the harddrive and am getting a new one,is there a way to transfer files from the removed hard drive to new computer?

Get a USB hard drive enclosure. When the kit is assembled and plugged in, the laptop hard drive will be treated as just another external storage device with data.
