I bought the Rainbow album on vinyl in the 70s and have always loved the strength of the artwork. The image of the child on the U2 album has stayed with me ever since I first saw it. Sorry about the cliché of Abbey Road, but it is iconic, is instantly recognisable and, I am told, if you go there at any time on the weekend you'll find four backpackers crossing the road and a fifth person holding up traffic taking the photo. Like a lot of timeless things, it's quite simple.

When I said I wanted to be a comedian, they all laughed at me. Well, they're not laughing now!
