Women in Apocalpse films

Hi.

Are there any good films or books about women in a post Apocalptic world? Usually it's told from the point of view of a male and everyone regresses to old gender stereotypes (the men work out a hierachy and gather food, the women are dominated and fought over)

You should try:

Into the Forest by Jean Hegland

Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler
Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler

Happy Reading :)

This is a pretty old topic, but there's one called "Doomsday" with Rhona Mitra, I think that's what it's called, that's a post apocalyptic action/adventure movie.

"Bulls**t MR.Han Man!!"--Jim Kelly in Enter the Dragon

Yeah, OP probably long gone. Regardless, Cherry 2000 is another possibility. It's OK.

The Time of the Wolf (Haneke) is grimly realistic, and a reminder that the post-apocalypse would not be a great time for women.
