What happened to theme songs?

They seemed to have died out this decade, along with sitcoms. But even with the few sitcoms we had, not many really had theme songs. Am I the only one that misses them?

I really miss them too! It's so sad to no longer be able to link your favourite show to its theme song...

Does anyone know if this goes for children's TV as well? I'm still able to make myself all happy just by humming the theme to Doug or Arthur... I want todays kids to have that too!

I know right I was discussing that on youtube under the Kenan & Kel comments.

The good TV theme songs I heard for TV shows for the 00's are:

Taina

That's So Raven

Hannah Montanna

REBA

What I like about you

George Lopez show

thats all I can think of.....which is pathetic. The rest or reality shows and you know they don't have a decent theme show song. That goes to show just how much TV sucks.

i don't know if this classifies as a theme song but I couldn't stop humming the HIMYM song for days after I started watching the show

Papapapapapapa dududududud dadadadadadadadum....

I miss them too! There were so many catchy ones from the 1940s ("The Life of Riley") to 1990s ("Clarissa Explains It All"). Then they died. Still, the 2000s had a few nice ones, but not enough!

Bobby009- You'd be please to know that my 4 year-old quite happily sings a long to Arthur, as I do too!

Well, no offense, lady, but what you don't know could fill a warehouse.
