We used to have a thread on Carol's TV movies, but it has since been deleted. I just wanted to alert Carol's fans that her 1979 TV movie "Friendly Fire" with Timothy Hutton is coming to dvd in August. This is an exceptional TV movie, and I'm so glad that it's finally coming to dvd!
shareHello, TVmovieViewer: That's great news! Fortunately I was able to find a VHS copy several years ago. I remember being confused by the title when that film aired, and I'm still confused by the phrase. Regardless, I'm glad the film is resurfacing, and it serves as further proof that Carol Burnett could have had a strong career as a dramatic actress if she wasn't so exceptional at comedy.
