I'm easy on the cussing personally. If Jim wants to allow it then fine, if he doesn't then also fine by me. Someone suggested an automatic script which could hide/alter cusses depending upon what a user's personal references are - I think that's the best suggestion if it's not too much work. Filters like that already exist as browser addons though for those who really don't want to see any cussing on their internet.
I just think it's a gaggle of gossiping busybodies wanting to ruin other people's fun by stating that their way is the only way.
Ain't nobody got no time for that outside of Tumblr and Twitter.

When some see racism in one thing but not in another it could mean that they are institutionalized with their racism and are so entrenched in it that they cannot imagine they are being racist.
This is why reflection and being open to change is an important part of any leadership hierarchy that gets established here.

@woody, let me clear something up for you. There is no "audience" in a discussion forum. There's only participants in a casual conversation. Now, you may believe that whenever you speak, those who listen are an "audience" to your charms, formal witnesses to history in the making, but that's just your ego.
People are not on stage here addressing a convention. Forums are causal conversation, an exchange of ideas in whatever style the contributor prefers. That includes colorful language if that's how it rolls.
