That is what this site is missing, polls! We can even create polls for things to vote on.

shareThe problem with that method is people get curious to see the results so they'll cast a meaningless vote just to see them.
ETA: What is useful, is when they make the voters visible so you can see if someone is trolling the poll or not.
Everyone gets one vote and one vote only. There should be a disclaimer that if a vote is cast, it will be your one and only. There should also be a list where you can see all the account names of the members, who have voted.
shareThen again, the actual movie rating polls would be separate from casual polls. It would be just like the message boards, where people, who make up their own threads, can make up their own polls. The rating polls could possibly be a part of each individual movie's message boards.
shareThere should be a proper imdb like poll... but all I meant was that a poll is a good simple way to do ratings until we get a regular one.
