Most overrated movie of the 1980's IYO?

IMO I consider "The Breakfast Club" to be the most overrated movie of all time, it seems to come on TV all the time and gets more recognition than what it deserves, I personally thought the movie was good but not great.

I am a bit rusty here. A week away from the internet.

E.T. (1982)
Amadeus (1984)

Yes, definitely those two. E.T. was the most succesful movie of the 80s. I honestly don't get that.

Are you sure you're not mistaken it to E.T. the Atari videogame?

Blade Runner (1982)

To me that movie is wonderful, like being inside a dream. The sequel couldn’t capture that magic, mostly due to the score.

reply

I could never get into it, I enjoyed the making of documentary though.

I'm a fan of the music and visuals. Some of the dialogue is good too. The story is messy but its about robots being more human than humans as they cherish life. If you don't cherish and fight to survive, are you human? I like the questions it asks.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

Spielberg even got a UN Peace Medal after he showed the movie at the United Nations! I rate it 6/10.

Back to the Future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy: Return of the Jedi. Other than the stuff with Vader, and even that has its issues, this movie stinks.

That band though -- especially in The Special Edition -- is hard to stomach.

But, yes, Jabba is great. So are the speederbikes. And Vader. But that's it.
