The English Patient over Fargo is inexcusable.
shareI've never even seen Fargo, but I agree. The only reason I watched English Patient was to see Kevin Whately (fan of his from Inspector Morse and Lewis). I watched it for the first time a couple of years ago. So dull I remember very little of it, except that Whately's character was killed rather early on.
shareI don't mind if EP won over Fargo. Not like Fargo is EPIC. At least EP tried to be epic. Fargo was just a bit of silly fun.

shareI won't argue but I enjoyed SIL a lot, and people have problems with Ryan. The bookends are a little awkward, and it sure is a long movie. Ryan may be better in a lot of ways, but Shakes' is sweet and more fun. In the long run I don't think any of it matters. What's important is how much $$ was netted.
