It will take few days for homemade mead to ferment

6 liters of it. Water. Lots of Honey with sugar too. Instant Yeast.

Its fermenting already and it tastes great, different to red wine i made earlier.

I had mead once in England - very sweet.

I am loving the taste of it after 60 mins of fermentation. It takes few days instead of what they tell you (years) because they don't want people creating red wine, mead and other alcoholic drinks at home. They lie. You see these vintage 1938 Bourdeaux Versaille from the year such and such? THEY LIE! It's usually fermented within weeks of selling.

reply

It'll take around three months for the buds to ripen.
Smells great already.

reply

3 months! i cant wait that long!

reply

I must say Mead is infinitely better than red wine in relaxing you.
