Does anyone know any movies like “Master and Commander” ??

It was seriously my favourite movie when I was younger and still love it to this day. I loved the naval aspect of it during that Napoleonic era. I also liked the dark ominous tone of the whole movie I really felt like I was on that ship chasing the Achéron with them. I have heard of to the ends of the earth and seen a bit of Horatio hornblower but always been curious if there were others of this genre or even up coming to be realised movies?

If you can handle a B&W movie
‘Mutiny On The Bounty’ (1935)
Clark Cable and Charles Laughton as Captain Bligh

The Bounty takes off to Tahiti and abused crew members decide to hang-out and commit mutiny. Polynesian women in the film are very attractive. No wonder they were mutineers!

Believe it or not, it is a 1930s movie, 1935. It is the best of the three, IMO.

Number 2 would be The Bounty (1984): Mel Gibson (Clark Gable role) and Anthony Hopkins (Charles Laughton role).

Number 3 is Mutiny on the Bounty (1962): Marlon Brando (Clark Gable role) and Trevor Howard (Charled Laughton Role)
