Having a Mandela effect moment. *Record Scratch* *Freeze frame* Yup, that's me

Opening to a movie or TV show episode.
Dramatic or tragic event occurs.
*Record Scratch* *Freeze frame*
"Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation…"

I know this has been memed and parodied to death, but I thought for sure it was based on an actual scene in an actual movie.

The best I can tell is that it is a mismash of tropes that were assembled into a viral meme format around 2016.

I've seen a lot of examples of things that come close but not quite there.

The Mandela moment for me is that I, in my mind, believed that I remembered this meme format as having been lifted and created from an actual scene in a movie.

It had to have had a beginning somewhere. I, too, would like to know the origin of this, and other examples like:

• Someone makes a remark that receives no reaction from anyone, and you hear the sound of crickets: http://instantrimshot.com/index.php?sound=crickets

• The shocking reveal "DUN-DUN-DUUUUNNN!!!" music cue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW7Op86ox9g

It's from a film. I'm trying to remember, but my first thought is it's an opening scene where a young guy is being punched in the face... I'll keep pondering.
