do you know how to use chopsticks?
i don't
shareI attempted to use them in a Chinese restaurant with friends and they just laughed and told the waitress to give me a fork.
It's time for me to make another effort to learn.
No, and I don't understand why anyone bothers to use them. For that matter, I don't understand why they ever existed in the first place. Was there really a time when no one had yet thought of creating a fork or spoon? I get that it takes more effort to make a fork or spoon than it does to make a pair of sticks, but you don't exactly need to be Leonardo da Vinci or Nikola Tesla to come up with the idea.
shareYeah. It's a little clumsy at first, but with practice it gets quite easy after a while. I mostly eat noodles and sushi with them, or strongly flavoured snacks like potato chips if I wanna avoid grubby fingers. I don't eat regular rice using them, for me that's like trying to eat cereal one piece at a time, but it makes sense for glutinous rice types, since those clump together.
shareI'm not good at them and won't embarrass myself, so I use a fork.. I'm taking my friend Carol to lunch at Noon to our favorite place "Pad Thai" and have some Red Curry and Rice and some Thai Chicken Wings with Spice level #4 out of 5
shareForks have been invented thousands of years, also the alphabet
shareYes. I learned how at about age 10 and can manage quite well with them. Was taught to me by an Irish woman!
shareA Japanese friend bought me some Star Wars Lightsaber chopsticks 🥢
