AIR FRYER....YOUR THOUGHTS?

I GOT ONE...NEVER USED IT UNTIL RIGHT NOW...I DID NOT GET INSTRUCTIONS...BUT I THINK I GOT IT FIGURED OUT.

Although I have no knowledge of the room of the cooking and the cleaning, I am aware that my wife and all her friends talk about how amazing they are, constantly.

reply

I AGREE WITH YOUR WIFE AND HER FRIENDS...THIS THING ROCKS.

reply

You only clean one room in your house?

reply

I have it on good authority that it’s the location where all the said activities take place.

reply

When it comes to the round things you eat on and the metal things that help you eat the food, yes. But there is another room for the cleaning of the clothes. And of course each room is periodically cleaned with various liquids, creams, polishes, powders, and sprays, and even certain electrical devices are utilized.

reply

It’s all a mystery to me.

reply

You know what you, or someone else, does to your BMW's interior and exterior? That kind of thing is done in a house (believe it or not).

reply

I find it best not to ask questions. We do have a lady that comes to Kings Towers once a week and I am led to believe that she attends to such things.

reply

I've had mine for several years and have always enjoyed the food I've cooked with it. A couple of weeks ago I cooked some hot dogs with it and they tasted as if they came right off the grill.

reply

OOOH...THAT'S COOL...I DIG ALL BEEF HOT DOGS...AWESOME...AIR FRYER FOR THE WIN.

reply

They were Omaha steak hot dogs and it even had instructions to cook in an air fryer. Good Stuff!!

reply

Word of warning. I burned the ever living hell out of my hand on an air fryer. Skin bubbled right off. Ghastly. Be careful reaching in them things.

reply

THAT IS GOOD ADVICE...I ALMOST GOT MYSELF LAST NIGHT...IT'S LIKE HELL IN THERE.

reply

Its much faster, then the oven. I use mine for chicken fingers, fries, taquitos. You can also just throw in a pork chop and set the time to 9 minutes, come back and its done.

reply

I MADE A CALZONE IN IT TODAY...SOOO CRISPY...I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS WEIRD EGG SHAPED OVEN.

reply

I like to be able to walk away and not worry about it, especially with things like a hamburger patty or pork chop, where I'd have to normally watch it in the skillet.

Be careful things cook in half the time of a toaster oven.

reply

YES...MY CALZONE GOT SO CRISPY SO FAST....THE COOK TIME IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT TO ANYTHING I HAVE USED BEFORE...IT WILL TAKE ME QUITE A BIT OF ADJUSTMENT.

reply

I've owned two of them - different styles. One was impossible to clean sufficiently. The other was okay, cleaning wise, but for me, not worth the space it took up in my very small kitchen. I ended up giving both of them away. They just didn't fit my lifestyle, I guess.

reply

I USE A MICROWAVE MOST OF THE TIME...THE AIR FRYER KICKED THAT MICROWAVES BUTT...IF I HAD A REGULAR OVEN I IMAGINE I WOULD BE LESS IMPRESSED.

reply

I'd say my cooking is equally split between my stove, my microwave, and my toaster oven.

reply

I've had one for about 5 or 6 years now and I tend to think it's overrated. I have found it's best for a rotisserie chicken (though this can smoke up the house), reheating food like pizza, and cooking frozen treats like pizza rolls, nuggets, or mozz sticks. Overall, I don't think it's worth the price. It's like a small quick oven. I give it a 5/10, useful in some situations, but not a rockstar in the kitchen, especially for how much counter space it takes up.

reply

I have one and use it everyday. I think air-frying is healthier because we can fry food with no or less oil.
However, some dishes such as fried chicken breast may not taste as good as oil-fried. For such case, you may need an oil sprayer: https://www.google.com/search?q=oil+sprayer
