It's ridiculous how many sequels, remakes, prequels, etc... are being pushed out the Hollywood pooper.

I blame the Lord of the Rings. Since that series was such a success, sequels were churned out regardless of quality.
You'd almost assume nothing in theaters is it's own thing like: Abigail, Boy Kills World, Zendaya tennis thing, or the ministry of really long title.

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TWO OF THOSE...DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE ESPECIALLY...WE ARE GONNA HIT THE THEATER FOR THAT ONE.

That's fine. People need to watch more movies with distraction and the theater does that. You'll have fun.

But, the last two movies I went to see only had sequels for previews. It's like production companies don't trust their movies. It's a disgrace. Put those previews out and get people excited. And they wonder why they don't get a return on investment.

YOU ARE RIGHT...THEY DON'T TRUST THE MOVIES OR THE AUDIENCE...THEY BAT ABOUT THE SAME PERCENTAGE ON THE SEQUELS/ESTABLISHED CHARACTERS AS THEY DO THE ORIGINALS...BUT THEATERS SEEM TO BE THE FRANCHISE CENTER MORE THAN ANYTHING THESE DAYS....MORE AND MORE IF YOU WANT SOMETHING NON FRANCHISE...STREAMING IS THE BETTER OPTION...I DON'T DISLIKE SEQUELS AND REMAKES...BUT ITS A PART OF THE REASON WE SKIP THE THEATER SO MUCH LATELY....I KNOW PEOPLE WILL DISAGREE WITH ME...BUT THE ROAD HOUSE REMAKE TICKLED ME JUST RIGHT....I LOVED THAT FLICK...AND IT WENT STRAIGHT TO STREAMING.
