Rowan Atkinson is a hypocrite, too. He happily worked with Ben Elton, who destroyed Benny Hill's legacy to such an extent that it's as if he never existed. So, Elton more than "canceled" Benny Hill. He erased him.
Mister Bean is absolutely right. Witch-burning, torch-and-pitchfork-waving rabid new-puritans. History will be very, very unkind to them.
