The best James Bond actor?

For me Connery and Brosnan are the best Bonds.

Brosnan could have been the best James Bond if the producers maintained the same quality and characterization from his debut (GoldenEye). At best, his interpretation was more like Sean Connery's in DAF. In other words, he was Connery Lite. It's no fault of Brosnan that the script quality of his last 3 movies was either OK(TWINE) to jokingly bad (DAD).

Connery is considered the best because he was the first one and he made the first 4 movies when the scripts were top notch.
Craig is considered second best only because he's the most recent one and he had a great debut.
My favorite, Timothy Dalton, was the closest (physically and character-wise) to the original novels. Although he only did 2 films and the last one over 20 years ago, he's ranked pretty high.

Brosnan was average as Bond for me. He just didn't seem to have the on-screen appeal as the earlier ones. He falls somewhere in the middle.

That's my preference.

Been watching since the beginning. Connery was the best until Brosnan came along. Sorry, Connery, now you're second.

The truth is, Pierce was probably the only actor who people knew as soon as he came on the scene that he was sooner or later going to be Bond.

Connery's still the best, but Brosnan is severely underrated. I hate how he's been getting the Nicholston treatment ever since Craig got the role.

Brosnan will always be Bond.

I honestly like GoldenEye but I think kids in the '90s love the Nintendo 64 game more than the movie itself lol
