He made the best Elvis movie ever

I'm sorry I didn't post this sooner. The anniversary of Elvis Presley's death just passed August 16. Kurt Russell played Elvis in Elvis (1979). Of all people, John Carpenter directed the movie. They both did an amazing job. They did their best to make Kurt look like Elvis. Did he look just like him? No. But he captured his spirit. He's my favorite actor to ever play Elvis Presley. He's one of the few guys that actually got it right. John Carpenter was picked to direct the movie because they found out he did the music for Halloween and they figured he could handle an Elvis biopic. He did more than just handle it. John Carpenter, in my opinion, made the best Elvis Movie ever. It's a shame he only stuck to horror movies because this movie proves Carpenter could've done more. If I was making a biopic, especially on someone famous in music, Carpenter would be one of the first directors I'd call.

By the way, this was the first time Kurt Russell and John Carpenter worked together. They'd go on to make many more movies together. Out of all of them, Elvis was my favorite.
