I wouldn't say he's made my life better, but he does make me forget my troubles for a brief time.
Poorly Lived and Poorly Died, Poorly Buried and No One Cried
I love his movies and I love his humor. Many of his movies go beyond humor and actually have wonderful message. He makes me laugh like very few comedians. Don't care for his politics from what little I know. But gotta admit he's a great artist and the one and only with a unique sense of humor.
