needs to make more family oriented comedies with sci-fi/fantasy elements
in my opinion his movies had gotten less successful financially when he started doing a bunch of more serious, dark, or realistic movies in the 2000's. but when he did try a more high energy comedy on rare occasions, they did receive more attention and support, as such was the case with bruce almighty and yes man. (he also did a fine job as a voice actor in "horton hears a who!" which was another big hit. i know, i know, it's an animated feature.)
i feel that if he stars as a main character in a bright colored, high budget, family oriented comedy movie with a lighthearted storyline and lots of fun elements of sci-fi/fantasy/superhero, then most moviegoers will show a ton of interest in seeing it in the theater. that is the kind of movie jim carrey is born to play in. with that kind of movie, families will run to the theaters to see it no matter what (especially if it gets released on a big holiday weekend).
