shareActually not a lot of people know that she's a natural blonde. She dyed it red for My So Called Life and then brown for Little Woman and several other films. But if you look at her pictures in her pre-MSCL roles she's got her natural color:

She went back to her natural blond around 1996 (her brown hair in Romeo and Juliet was a wig)

Over the years she dyed her hair brown again for a few roles (Shopgirl, Evening, Les Miserables, Terminator 3) and gone lighter for a few roles. I think that she's best off when she's her natural color or close to it:

Anyway, Claire is a natural blonde; her natural color is dark dirty blonde. As you pointed out. I think the previous user thinks that the fact that Claire bleaches her hair a very bright blonde implies she not a natural blonde. I too am a natural blonde, and have been lightening my hair for most of my adult life. The previous user doesn't know the difference.
