Why is he in every movie?

And in some, his character doesn't fit in anywhere. Maybe I'm not his fan.. I'm not.

reply

Because people like me will go see a movie just because he's in it.

LOL same. Movies just seem to be lot better with SLJ in them. He has amazing screen presence and brings life to the movie, plus seems to elevate everyone around him.

That reminds me in Ted 2 when someone said that they never heard of Samuel l. Jackson. Ted said " have you seen every movie ever? He's the black guy". Lol

reply

Lol, just saw the trailer for kong. My first thought when I saw him was, why is shield there? Then saw tom hiddleston and thought, loki? Honestly is have no preference for him either way, some movies r good and some are snakes on a plane.

Same thing happened to me when i watched Tarzan trailer. First i was like "Hey this seems okay" but then SLJ appeared and i was like "Oh god WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE IN EVERY SINGLE MOVIE"

I have nothing against his acting, but i think its getting ridiculous.

reply

do you think it's a black equality thing? because seriously he's in so many freaking movies. it doesn't matter what movie it is, if they need a angry black man he's always there. it's sad and pathetic. he's ruined his career by being in every single movie role no matter if he fits in the movie or not and he's the same character in every movie, how pointless of a career he has had in the last 10 years.

He likes to work. He recommended the same to Vivica Foxx. That's why she's in everything.

I am the Alpha and the Omoxus. The Omoxus and the Omega

watch the latest Jimmy Fallon show with SLJ

Jimmy: what is your greatest fear?
Sammy: never be working again

Work is his life, & he like to work. I like to watch his movies.

He certainly picks quantity over quality. A real actor is someone like Daniel Day Lewis who stars in one movie every couple of years or so. He picks a script that is the best it can possibly be. SLJ picks whatever is handed to him.

Not judging really, I mean who'd turn down work. But he's not a real actor by any means.
