What a disgusting con-woman

The least 'deserved', worst Oscar win in history. Urgh.

why con-woman?

Because of her pretenses to get the Oscar, her lies how she did all the dancing herself.
She is a mediocre actress at best. She has a great plastic surgeon and an even better agent. These are her merits. But nothing whatsoever in the talent department.

I don't. Sarah Lane deserved her Oscar. What she contributed to the movie was no more than any other scream queen does on a regular basis.

The director of "Black Swan" says that a full 80 percent of the dancing seen by Natalie's character is by Natalie herself, NOT her double. And surely there is more to the role than the dancing? If ballet dancing ALONE was automatically Oscar-worthy, then why did Mikhail Baryshnikov lose his Oscar nom for "The Turning Point" to another actor?

As for her talent, she has been working consistently since the 90s, and even won a Golden Globe (for her role in "Closer"). The remark about 'plastic surgery' seems odd, as she has never had any work done - nor does she need to. She was actually 'discovered' in a pizza parlor at the age of 11 - surely her looks had SOME role in that event? As for her agent, s/he can only submit Natalie for roles. The actual OFFERS come from producers and directors, who validate her talent by offering her those plum roles.

I guess you dont have to like her, but she wont lose any sleep over that! She is worth a lot more than you are, I am guessing. :-P

lol you idiot... REVOKE her oscar because she isnt a TRAINED ballerina!

if that were true no one, besides maybe ridiculously exceptional actors would ever win one.

the director counted the scenes where she danced, 80% were hers, and the dancing was called amateurish and not up to mark for a prima ballerina so it did not do her any favours. and if you have any doubts go and watch the black swan featurette and see the film once again. her acting part was amazing and as for the dancing part, the only place there is a dance double is when its oldie dancing, the first few seconds of leg work when the film opens. otherwise we don't get to see real dancing. the last scene when nina dies, prior to that she is en-pointe, and also in the later part of her dream she is on point. remember the budget of the film was 13 million, they couldn't have afforded that much CGI to so effectively make the face swap so indiscernible, esp in the close ups and pirouettes.

its leviOsa not levioSA......
