Semi-OT: Ashley Judd Was a Major Bitch to Me on Twitter

The other day, I tried to (just for the hell of it) send Ashley a link to this particular blog regarding the apparent decline of the career of her Norma Jean & Marilyn co-star Mira Sorvino:
http://lebeauleblog.wordpress.com/2011/08/07/thats-so-fetch-mira-sorvi no/

So when I get a response (which I was actually surprised to get one at all) she took it all personally and said that asking that sort of question (which was really just a rhetorical question) was really rude. Then she gave me this really pompous, "How ignorant are you!?" response by saying that Mira for one thing, is an abolitionist. In fairness, maybe (in checking back) I forgot to include the link, and Ashley thought that I was being dead serious or literal in my message.

Well, if you weren't being a prick in the first place by sending that ridiculous contrived message maybe she would not have been rude to you.

Are you *beep* serious!? The message that I sent to Ashley Judd had a blatantly attention grabbing rhetorical question. Had she actually bothered to read the blog instead of taking things so literally and on face value, then I wouldn't be bring this incident up in the first place!

I did read it and it seemed rude. I guess you're the only person who doesn't think that.....

reply

Ashley can be too. I wouldn't want to make her mad.

You did expect a response which is why you sent it to her. I don't believe for a second that you sent her an article that puts down her friend just to give her something to read. Or that you thought she would be glad to read it and give you a hearty thanks. You got exactly the response you wanted and are trying to portray her as being rude. You're like one of those annoying paparazzi that provoke celebrities by insulting them and then sue them for getting angry.

George Carlin: It's all bullsh-t and it's bad for ya.

And what, I'm practically the only one who wonders why Mira Sorvino isn't as relevant or popular now as she was around the time she won her Oscar!? You're overreacting and being uptight just as much as Ashley Judd! If you read the something that says "What the hell happened too..." at face value, then it's quite obvious that you don't have a sense of humor!

I think Tarantino had as much to do with hurting Mira Sorvino's career as Weinstein. He apparently coaxed her to do crap like The Replacement Killers and Mimic. Not that she wasn't capable of making her own choices. She finally did something worthwhile in Summer of Sam, but nothing followed that. I'm sure Weinstein harassed her and all. but to solely blame him for her career troubles is a little ridiculous.

Ditto her friend Ashley Judd. She kept doing those crappy thrillers that "The bad Ashley Judd thriller" literally became its own genre. Judd is/was a much better actress than Sorvino though. She gave some great performances in Ruby in Paradise, Normal Life, and Bug. She was clearly insufferable though which clearly didn't help matters. Speaking of Jason Patric, they infamously hated each other when they starred together on a bad Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
