I hadn't seen this film in many years. Ann-Margret was superb. The "I wanna get married" scene is brilliantly played by both her and Jack Nicholson. As a young boy ,I loved the Sexy 60's Ann, and family members thought it was cute and she was looked on as kind of a joke. She was a cultivated oversexed,studio creation. But when she played Bobbie in "Carnal Knowledge" she came around an acting corner and proved how brilliant she could be.

Just because something can't be explained,doesn't mean it becomes yours!

She should have won the Oscar over Cloris Leachman who was also great just a little overpraised.

Saw Carnal Knowledge when I was a kid on a date. Hadn't seen Ann Margaret since Viva Las Vegas. She was so "built" in Carnal Knowledge my date was pissed at the way I was staring. She did a great acting job and at about 30 years old puts a lot of the girls out now to shame. Even now at over 70 she still looks amazing.

Carnal Knowledge permanently removed any doubts about her acting chops. Her breakout role.

I saw this movie years ago and thought it was just awful. Love Ann though.

I was amazed at her performance in Streetcar Named Desire. Adore her!
