There is no statue of limitations on when you can be charged with murder. He is done finally in film.

reply

He murdered no one.

reply

He better get a judge to say that or hope New Mexico never gets a republican governor. Although this way New Mexico democrat party can shake him down for donations each election.

You can charge someone, but it won't guarantee a conviction. In any case, murder is off the table. The standard for murder is far higher than this accident calls for (if any charge is called for), and no prosecutor would even entertain murder. Exception to that is if evidence shows that Baldwin intentionally tried to kill the woman and pose it as an accident.

I'm very conservative, but if I'm on the jury, he doesn't get convicted of murder. I doubt I would even vote guilty for manslaughter unless there is other evidence we don't know about. I can't stand Alec Baldwin and have no pity for his plight (reserved for the woman's family), but I won't convict a detestable person just because I can't stand them.

reply

patton oswaldt murdered his wife

reply

Nobody murdered anybody. It was a stupid accident caused by extreme incompetence on the part of everyone who handled the gun, starting with the armorer and ending with Baldwin, and including anybody in between. He and the others will be the defendants in huge civil suits. Being the famous one with deep pockets, he will pay the most.

reply

jesus.. is this real? I wonder if the guy who's wife was shot is also posting some jolly pictures on instagram.

reply

I couldn't agree more.
Couldn't they have skipped it this year?
So disrespectful to Halyna's family.
To say I am disgusted is an understatement!

reply

Wow that is pretty insensitive ..so soon after what happened. You'd figured they'd (or she anyway as its her who calls the shots) would stay off SM for a good while until all the investigations are concluded

reply

Someone should photoshop the ghost of Halyna Hutchins behind them then make Conjuring 3.

reply

He is slowly going to lose any sympathy people were giving him. I can't stand the guy (being a red necked Trump supporter and all...Let's go Brandon!) But I have been very easily defending him in this case because I feel I can looked past the bias and look at the facts here. And I would say this to anyone regardless of their political stance: Back off and shut up! He should have just laid low for a while in one of his mansions away from the press. No tweets. no photos. no comments from the family. He's just shooting himself in the foot here (no pun intended). He is not helping the situation right now. Instead of looking like a grieving shocked friend of the victim who wants to do what he can to help the investigation, he's starting to look like his usual arrogant asshole self.

reply

He doesn't need sympathy from the public. It won't affect his courtroom battles in the slightest.

reply

ok...

reply

He does if he has any hope of continuing his career.

reply

Another user was explaining that Alec's career is already over. Nobody will want to work with him and the insurance rates will be sky high on any future production. I'll try to find the reply from the other person.

reply

I understand if the kids still want to go trick/treating. Let them do it, but don't share/post about it on social media.

reply

A reasonable reaction. I can understand the guy not wanting his kids to suffer. But he should mitigate the suffering of the victim’s family. Broadcasting pictures of himself clowning around in a holiday costume like nothing ever happened is not helping.

reply

I'm sure the family aren't checking up to see that no posts with Baldwin's kids in them are going up on social media. Only chickenshits like the daily mail do that for the benefit of sanctimonious, forelocking tugging twerps.
