Horribly Miscast as Bush Sr.

W. looks like a pretty interesting movie, but James Cromwell as Bush Senior is just goofy. Cromwell is an okay actor, but he doesn't have a lot of range. He's basically the same guy in every movie and I don't see how he can inhabit the role of a person people know so well.

It's going to be like Zefram Cochrane is W.'s father.

Oh, and tiny little Jeffrey Wright as Colin Powell, who is 6 foot 2 and husky? Why not someone with some stature and presence?

I was thinking the same thing.And what is up with the accent? There was none!

Yeah. Cromwell was president not Bush Sr. Aside from that though it was pretty solid. Jeffrey Wright did a good job.

I completely disagree. i thought his performance [alone and on-screen w/ Josh Brolin] was one of the high points of the film...one man's opinion.

Also disagree. Thought Cromwell was brilliant as Bush I.

I just saw W and thought that Jeffrey Wright stole the show. Cromwell was fine in the Bush role as well...

Well, apparently I am in the minority here, and that's fine. I'm glad you guys liked it. I didn't buy it.
