Cheesy Hosts

I think pretty much everyone agrees that Neil Patrick Harris didn't do a good job hosting the Oscars. He seemed nervous and his jokes were too cheesy. Also that bag "mystery" didn't deliver at all.

Last year we had Ellen DeGeneres, while her hosting entertained some people, I personally thought it was just unclassy and cheap. So my question is, wouldn't it be better if we got more classy hosts instead? Remember how good Hugh Jackman was. Oscars are supposed to be a prestigous event, not something you make your host eat pizza or walk on the stage with your underwear.

I believe there should be standards, considering this is not a child's show. I'm really hoping we will see some classy hosts in the following years instead of this cheesiness trend. I'm not against jokes; but it's not funny when the host is trying to make jokes every single second, even after a director talks about her son's death.

I'd personally love to see men like Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery, Tom Selleck hosting a worthy Oscars night.

I found Ellen DeGeneres performance entertaining last year, unclassy but fun. I live in Europe so I always record the ceremony and fast-forward when I'm bored. It took me only 2h to watch it this year as I skipped entire parts. Neil Patrick Harris was awful. I'm a huge HIMYM fan and I was expecting a lot better from him.

People who could actually do a good job:

Three clowns to host the Oscars??? I like Tina Fey, but I'm sick of seeing her.....she's everywhere. And those American Express ads, the hair care product ads....she drives me nuts.
