In the gay LA community, he would rate a 5 out of a possible 10:).

In my opinion, he's a good looking guy, but there are probably plenty of better looking gay dudes who just happen to not be famous.

Sexier than Matt Bomer, Ricky Martin, Cheyenne Jackson??? Seriously?

Don't forget Luke MacFarlane and Matt Dallas.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Neil is classically handsome. So I can see why people would go for him over 'pretty' looks like Bomer and Jackson.

I don't know the first and last guys, but Ricky Martin? No kidding.

Gay dudes are very visual, and very much into looks. NPH will score some points because of his fame, and the "cute"ness that goes along with his being a dad now, etc…..

But looks alone? Naw. Like someone said, if he was just another anonymous gay guy walking down the streets of Southern California, he wouldn't score high on the "LA Gays Guide to Good Looking." Guys out here are very much into looks.

Actually gay guys, in general, are. Way different than our straight bros who are young and hot. Those dudes will do it with a chick no matter what she looks like or how old she is. Which is why I could never understand why women complain so much about how "picky" men are. Trust me, compared to gay dudes, straight dudes aren't picky at all. Even the hot ones aren't picky. Which is great for the lesser attractive women out there, and the old broads.

Gay guys will actually make fun of older guys, and anyone else (regardless of age) whose looks don't measure up in their opinion.

The sad thing, it's hard enough for a young gay man to accept himself and his sexual orientation, but then when he has to put himself out there to be judged by his fellow gay compadres, it becomes even more difficult. Because I think gays are their own worst enemies, and end up being just as judgmental as they say straights are. It's more painful though when one of their own rejects them.

IMO, NPH is hardly unattractive. But I don't think most gay guys in LA would consider him to be all that if it weren't for his fame and money. Because gay dudes are super picky.

I didn't think he was anything attractive until I saw him in Gone Girl. I won't spoil anything but he can get steamy!
