The guy always delivered. I can’t think of a bad movie that he was in. He aged gracefully, which is a quality I think we all should admire. Among my favorites are Blade Runner (what would it have been without him?), Ladyhawke and The Blood of Heroes. May God test his soul.

Did they ever reveal what he died from? Most sources only say "brief illness"

Usually means cancer (one that was discovered too late and/or was inoperable)

Cancer most likely. Some of them goes fat in spreading. I liked him in Ladyhawke.
