I never met her but my sister-in-law did while doing some PR for a charity in L.A. a few years back. She said Lauren was very nice, a real character and had even more charisma than she displays on screen. She also said that when there were a few minor screwups in regard to the event, Lauren was one of the celebs who didn't act like a primadonna or take it as some personal slight.

I used to be a reporter for a now-defunct soap opera magazine back in the late 80's. I interviewed her and the actor who played "Charlie" on All My Children back when they were on the show. I went on-set for the interview backstage, and I can honestly say that she was (and probably still is) one of the nicest, most genuine actors that I have met. She was very candid and nice in answering the questions, and I went away with a very good impression of her. I thought she was particularly good in "The Bruce Lee Story", too.
