Wants to do another A Nightmare on Elm Street film.

Naturally, the conversation eventually hit upon Langenkamp’s iconic role in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, and it’s a role the actress would still love to return to.

“If Nancy could fight Freddy one last time, I would really like that,” she tells ET.

“Gosh, I’d love to see a future in that. I’ve been really watching the Halloween saga that’s been out, and I love watching Jamie Lee Curtis get to play that part,” Langenkamp adds. “You know, this age, where I think we have so much to give to those storylines, but yeah, I wish I was in control of that, but, unfortunately, it’s one of those Hollywood very complicated things.”

Not sure what else they can do with this franchise.

Reiterates her desire to do another ANOES movie.

“In my imagination, I have several legacy sequels happening at the same time,” Langenkamp told the crowd of Elm Street fans. “She’s a great character. How could you say no?”

“I just need somebody to get that off the ground,” Langenkamp adds. “Especially considering Nightmare on Elm Street part 7, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. I do think there’s a lot of really great opportunities for new and excellent battles still to come.”

Be nice to see her back.

She'll be turning 60 in July, she's still capable of doing another movie and likely will be for quite a few years yet barring any serious illness, it's just a shame that Robert Englund is nearing 77 years of age and has consistently said he's not fit to play Freddy anymore. It would have been nice to have them get another movie together.

The ANOES rights have reverted back the the Craven estate, I remember reports a few years back (2020 I think) that they were hearing some pitches for a new movie, Mike Flanagan expressed interest on twitter. Sadly I haven't heard anything since. I'm sure at some point some studio will throw a boatload of money at them, crazy to think it's been 14 years since a ANOES movie. I wouldn't mind a Flanagan directed legacy sequel starring Langenkamp.

'I wouldn't mind a Flanagan directed legacy sequel starring Langenkamp.'

It's not my favourite franchise, but I would be up for that.

If they brought both her and Robert Englund back I'd definitely go see it. I'm not one for sequels but that would be good. I wonder if they would ret-con it and pretend that all the other sequels never happened. I read an article where that was suggested.
