His most unforgivable sin...

No it wasn't Year one or Analyse that.

It was giving that Talentless bore Andie mcdowell TWO starring roles in his films. Groundhog day was funny....but Multiplicity sucked.

Most film makers wisely only used her once. Harold unwisely gave her a second go....and it certainly didn't pay off.

But thats okay. We all make mistakes. RIP Harold Ramis

I would not call it an unforgivable sin but you have a point. Andie McDowell's acting is about as exciting as watching paint dry. SHe was supposed to be a big deal at the time but I never saw it that way. Very overrated.

Look at it this way, she allowed the main actor to come through even stronger.

the movie itself was the isht.

His only "unforgivable sin" is that he died way too soon.

As for Andy McDowell, she was absolutely brilliant in Groundhog Day.

I detected her southern accent in a couple of scenes in GD, but found it cute and endearing (and it could happen in real life too, to someone who has moved out of their area, lost most of their accent, only to have it pop-up in moments of emotional turmoil or excitement); but I have also seen scenes with her that just worked wonderfully well due to her subtlety of performance.

So, no, Harold did not fail there. Nor did Andy.

I thought she was a decent actress. Certainly didn't ruin either of those movies.
