GHOSTBUSTERS 3 SOUNDTRACK (Fanmade Edition/Full Album)

Just a fan interpretation of how the new Ghostbusters soundtrack should sound like. One of the biggest key elements to the Ghostbusters films has always been the music. So these tracks were hand selected based on topic, or just overall sound and tone.
Hopefully the real soundtrack goes a little something like this one.

Not bad! I like a lot of the choices, though I'd take out much of the lyrics for some of them, and just have the music, as I think that might work better at times.

Puscifer's Dear Brother is brilliant, and the background tune is perfect for GIII, especially the beat and the woman going wooooooooooooooo. Very much like the Magic song from the original and like the Saving The Day song at the end!

The only criticism I have is that sometimes a few of the songs are verging too much into Drive territory, which isn't entirely the vibe I'd want for GBIII, despite the music being current and popular. The walk with the ghost one isn't one I like either, as the lyrics are a bit silly, though if it's just on the soundtrack and not in the movie it might work.

Still, some good choices here! You should post this on the GBIII section

Hey, thanks alot for your input and checking it out! I agree with everything you said. This was just a fan project I wanted to do because I grew up listening to the Ghostbusters soundtracks(particularly the first one) and I wanted to put a compilation together featuring some songs I thought could fit. Im glad you liked some of the songs! When I first heard the Puscifer song last year, as I was listening to it, I was thinking, this sounds so 80s, and in particular it totally sounds like something that could work in a Ghostbusters movie! So I had to use that one, in fact that was the first song I heard that gave me the idea to create the fan soundtrack.
I also agree with just playing the music, and not necessarily the vocal parts, if these were used in the movie. Some of the songs I picked in particular cause of the music and not the lyrics cause some of the lyrics I dont think would fit the movie at all haha.
And I do see what you mean with it sounding too much like "Drive" territory haha. Though that film does have a very 80s sounding soundtrack, so that was kinda the vibe I was aiming for too, like modern stuff with an 80s sound. But Im sure when the GB3 soundtrack producers put together the tracks they will pick some good ones! I hope so at least cause the music to the films is almost as important as the film itself.
Thanks again for checking it out, and for commenting! Its much appreciated!!

No prob!

It's still a very good selection for the most part, even if bits and pieces are used here and there.

I'm just hoping GBIII is finally made, and turns out to be good, with Dan and Ernie getting a lot of screen time, and something there for Murray as well. Damn shame we can't bring Harold Ramis back to life :(. They should name a center after him in the movie!

Oh I know, and Im hoping they give Harold some sort of tribute in the movie. I was thinking a while back that they could write in that Egon has passed, but they find alot of notes of his and stuff, which would include some documented investigations that he had been doing on his own before he died, which could help them crack the case of the new villian(s).
But yeah, Ive been waiting 25 years for this movie to get made! I dont want anymore delays lol. Ernie Hudson said it should definitely be out by 2016 so we shall see.
In the meantime, one of the main reasons I put together this fan soundtrack was to give fellow Ghostbusters fans something to chew on while we continue to wait haha.
Hopefully we get some "officially filming" news soon.
