Ghostbusters III is NOT happening. Harold Ramis has sadly passed away and we just have to stop wishing for a Ghostbusters III. A friend of mine said it's possible to have Louis Telly (Rick Moranis) to fill in Egon's shoes as the fourth Ghostbuster. I said to him, "NO! No Egon, No Ghostbusters." The best of what we have as a third Ghostbuster story is the videogame that came out in 2009.

So lets just move on and enjoy what we currently have. Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, and the Ghostbusters Video Game. R.I.P. Harold Ramis. You will be truly missed :(

I never wanted a Ghostbusters 3, there was no point. 2 movies was just fine, wish people would stop going on about it. It isn't going to happen and never was. RIP

I agree. It's not going to happen. But maybe Hollywood will reboot the series. Not that I'd like that, but you know how it is.

I was hoping for GB3 but this morning when I read the news all hopes went away. Like you said, no Egon... No Ghostbusters!
