Looking at all the top actresses in Hollywood both past and current I honestly don't see anyone that can match Streep in terms of sheer acting talent. Her range, nuance, charisma and versatility are simply unmatched. She is a legend and there is honestly nobody even from the upcoming new actresses to replace her.

She's the go-to choice for people with limited knowledge of film. She has spent the last 25 years putting on one gimmicky performance after another. Nearly half of her Oscar nominations were undeserved. She's also a hypocrite. She bangs on about the #MeToo movement, yet she benefited from Harvey Weinstein. Like everyone else in Hollywood, she knew what was going on. She chose to ignore it. She also applauded Roman Polański at the Oscars. Then we have her looks. They match her bland personality.
In short: she's the female Tom Hanks.
