Oscar snubs?

I was surprised to check his Oscar nominations today and see there are none! I thought for sure he would have been nominated for Ghost at least.

Patrick and his wife were not insiders in Hollywood. They stayed away from a lot of the Hollywood events and parties. A Golden Globe or Oscar is never about the best actor or movie, it's about what is politically correct at the time. Sons of Anarchy put in the best finale season of any show I've ever seen and was completely shut out at the Emmys and Golden Globes. Shameful. And it's shameful that Patrick Swayze was never honored for his work!

SOA's final season was trash man. Patrick was an ok actor but Oscar worthy...he was not.

He was nominated for 3 golden globes. Not exactly an outsider. But Oscars? His movies weren't really Oscar material.

I have to agree on this, this ending was absolutely outstanding. A huge part of the show is a big mess though, which could explain its omission from the Emmys and Golden Globes. The first three seasons were excellent, but after that, I personally would have cut so much from it.
