Why He Fits George Newton
He was also considered for the 90's Beethoven films as George Newton. That film was written by John Hughes. Given Candy's role as Uncle Buck and Gus in the OG Home Alone (also made by Hughes), he could've been the right fit. Because he's been dead since 1994, we'll never know.
