I used to like him as an actor, but his Right-wing nut political stuff I cannot stomach. The whole pedo thing and trying to use that for partisan smearing ... sleazy.

And even though it's long ago that I left the church (protestantic), I really dislike the constant bashing and accusements against the Catholic church.
Meanwhile it looks as if all priests are into little children...they're NOT!
Let's talk about child abuse in schools, sport clubs, scouts, etc.
Yah, alas, it happens...but these are NOT Mr. Caviezel's deeds.

Child abuse is a PR BS for him, that's all.
And like the Church in certain parts, those who pretend to be holier than thou are often the worst sinners and the most immoral.
True, many hypocrites all around.
When our "german tank" Benedict was elected as a pope I wasn't happy at all.
But he was one of the first who was after it (child abuse)...not in public.
After I've read some of his texts (first hand) I understood his points better.
He failed and that nearly broke his heart.
There's much more...'behind the scenes'.
That has much to do with internal fights of the Catholic church's 'modernization'.
And our Islamic 'friends' who pick that up with joy. ☻
