Absolute terrific actor, very nuanced and naturalistic, you won't ever catch him 'acting'. Gotta love this dude!!

So true. I used to notice so often in Prison Break when Robert Knepper was onscreen that he was acting, often in an entertaining way, but acting nonetheless. "He acted the hell out of that" was a frequent comment on the late, lamented TWOP and I always thought "But Fichtner just IS Mahone." You never saw him thinking "Mahone is keeping a secret here or Mahone feels vulnerable here". It was always completely seamless and he's always like that.

He is definitely underrated. I wish he was more well known than he is. He's really good in everything I've ever seen him in.

He is usually the best thing in everything he is in.
