Why didn't this guy blow up after Shakespeare and Elizabeth
After getting those roles and he is a pretty good actor. Why didn't he blow up?
shareAfter getting those roles and he is a pretty good actor. Why didn't he blow up?
shareI suppose because he's a "pretty good actor" but not anything that special.
shareBut still, we've all seen actors who have no talent blow up for a few years after a breakout blockbuster hit. This guy was in Shakespeare in Love, I'm really surprised we haven't seen more of him and that he's doing television. He has way more talent than some of the famous actors today, I'm looking at you Robert Pattinson.
shareHe wanted to play on stage I believe
shareWell, not even Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow blew up!!!
shareI always thought he was a better actor that Ralphie, but then look at who works and who doesn't.
Ladies and Gentlemen- Denny CRANE!
Ralph is a boring pain-in-the- !!!
shareHe said after Elizabeth and Shakespeare in Love, he didn't feel comfortable and wanted to return to the theatre where he feels he belongs. He turned down a lot of roles in the late nineties. He could have been a much bigger star but obviously didn't want to.
shareI read he turned down the lead in The Piano, and a 5 movie deal after Shakespeare in Love. He doesn't seem to care about being in the spotlight.
