good american accent

flawless

Only took a few scenes in the first episode of Flash Forward for his English accent to become obvious. Not nearly as bad as many, but not flawless

reply

I agree, not flawless. Though I'm not a native English speaker, but I could tell from his very first words that he is not American.
I think the best American-speaking British actor is Matthew Rhys, he playes Kevin in Brothers and Sisters. And does it very well.

The best American-speaking British actor is Gary Oldman, hands down. And I'm American.

Hugh Laurie seems to do a pretty good job in "House" too.

reply

Nah, the best American-speaking British actor is Owain Yeoman from 'The Mentalist' who's Welsh :)

I couldn't even tell he was British. But maybe now that I know It will stick out more.

reply

The director that hired Hugh Laurie of House did not know that he was English. I would say that if he didn't know, then that is a pretty damn good accent.
