Really an ass like in Entourage?

Is he as much of an ass as he is in Entourage?

I really want to know, too. I was shocked by the way he was portrayed in Entourage, I mean, I was never a huge fan of his, but I have enjoyed the scripted roles that he's had in the past. I liked him in Buffy and think his voice is great for Chris in Family Guy. I've seen him in a number of other projects and was really fond of him. When I saw that he was a guest in Entourage, I was really excited because I was expecting a down to Earth funny guy. I was shocked to see how much of a douche bag he was. He was such a little coward and bully. That role of playing himself, has really ruined my image of him. I kinda don't like him, because of it.

I don't know him personally, but I really do dislike people with that kind of personality. To my understanding, the guests playing themselves in the show, typically stick very close to their true personalities. Seth clearly didn't care to portray his real self. Perhaps he as a bit of that short man syndrome which is why he acts like such a jerk. I've met many short men syndrome guys in my life and I was really let down to see Seth take on that personality.

From doing much reading on him, it appears that he is a jerk in real life.

are you sure you were watching the same show i was? because a lot of the 'real' characters are insanely over the top

That's just *beep* silly. Of course he's making fun of himself by portraying a total Hollywood a^shole. He even has the super douche posse as well. I think his scenes are some of the best in the show. A lot of the people who portrayed themselves played quirky, twisted versions of themselves. Stamos with his specialized ping pong training was another. Look at Robot Chicken. Some people probably met him and he said something dry or sarcastic, not meaning it in a mean way and because it wasn't their idea of how grateful a celebrity should be to meet a fan, thought he was an ass or a douche. To think how any actor is on a show, even when the character has their same name, doesn't mean they're not playing just that. A character. You should see Patrick Stewart playing himself on Extras. It's obviously him having some fun with his sense of humor, especially as it reeks havoc with the Picard image.

He was playing a douche on purpose, it was great and he was really funny as an ass, he probably loved doing it.

Bobby Flay did the same thing.

Though I think Bob Sagat was playing himself in real life LOL He is not the Full House dad in real life.

Probably just a little.
