Glad I was wrong. The article I read it from never made any mention of him surviving it.
shareEric Idle was just revealed last week as a masked singer on Season 8, episode 1 of The Masked Singer on Fox in the USA. (It was one of the worst episodes ever on that show, trashing the previous formats.) They let him close the show singing Always Look On the Bright Side.
William Shatner was also revealed on the same night. Only one of the four singers could actually sing.
