I don't believe in ranking albums. Some have good aspects that another album wouldn't have. For example, MJ's vocals on Thriller have a freshness and rawness that he didn't have on Bad, but at the same time, Bad showed more vocal control and mastery of his instrument, giving a more powerful performance on some tracks.
History was seen as lacking the hits of other albums, but autobiographically speaking, it's his most revealing album.
